The BARF Diet
The BARF Diet, abbreviated for ‘Biologically Appropriate Raw Food’ or ‘Bones and Raw Food,’ aligns with the evolutionary principle that dogs, descended from grey wolves, maintain an unchanged digestive system despite human-induced external changes. As carnivores with sharp incisors, dogs are naturally suited for a raw diet rich in protein, moderate in fat, low in carbohydrates, and comprising raw muscle and organ meat, raw meaty bones, as well as fruits and vegetables.
